MASROOR Saeed: Ph.D. (Mathematics) 2018, Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands). Postdoctoral researcher, University of Maastricht (The Netherlands)
Date of birth: 1988, Fasa, Iran
SUMMARY: Saeed Masroor did his Bachelor's in Tehran Polytechnic (engineering and mathematics). In 2011, he was awarded the ALSP scholarship from TU Eindhoven to pursue a master’s degree in Industrial and Applied Mathematics. In 2018, he obtained a Ph.D. in the Center for Analysis, Scientific Computing, and Applications in TU Eindhoven. During his Ph.D., he extensively studied the dynamics of chemical reaction networks. He also collaborated with the Institute for Complex Molecular Systems to perform mathematical modeling in synthetic biology. He also closely collaborated with the Center for Human Drug Research in Leiden and studied the systems pharmacology of a new drug. As of 2018, he is working as a part-time postdoc in the group of Prof. Philippe Lambin. He is working on systems biology modeling of hypoxia-activated prodrugs and their effects on tumor growth.
He specializes in mathematical modeling in systems biology, DNA-based synthetic biology, modeling genetic data, and PK/PD modeling of clinical data.
